    Although from a previous week, I wanted to comment on this post because one I too loved listening to Louise Derman Sparks and the second quote you gave goes along with what I have mentioned the last few weeks in discussions, is it not better to allocate funding now for education than funding prisons later on because the child wasn't taught any better? Thank you so much for your blog, I too have substitute taught and am thankful to have my own classroom again. I found substitute teaching difficult because I could not put my own stamp on them, I was following a plan left for me. I wish you the best of luck in all you continue to do.
